European Capital of Sport
Cardiff has recently received the official title of ‘European Capital of Sport’. A title recognising Cardiff as a major sporting destination that unifies a sporting spirit across its communities.
So 2018 is set to show some great sporting events including; Six Nations Rugby, Welsh Athletics qualifying events for the Common Wealth Games, Heineken Cup Finals and Powerboat Championships. The future looks bright for Cardiff also having been successful in recently hosting the Champions League Final, as well as part of the 2018 Volvo Ocean Racing sailing series and of course the ongoing success of Cardiff City football club.
A City with a growing reputation for its bars & restaurants
Cardiff’s visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and dining, with the city now offering some of the best international restaurants in the UK In addition to fine dining there’s a huge choice of bars and pubs with something for all tastes and groups. The capital of Adventure Activities
With Cardiff’s newly built harbour area and proximity to local beaches, the mountains and river gorges of the Brecon Beacons, no wonder it’s the UK capital of adventure. Try your hand at power-boating in the bay area or Surfing in Porthcawl, one of Wales premier surfing beaches only 20 minutes from the city centre, and of course Gorge Scrambling in one of the local river canyons, which is proving to be one of the most popular stag group activities. Other activities on Cardiff’s doorstep include Quad Biking, Paintballing centres, Kayaking lessons and Rock Climbing.
A Stag & Hen friendly city
Cardiff is a bustling city with a small town feel that’s very welcoming to stag groups. Unlike other stag city destinations, you aren’t going to get your mates rejected from the bars of Cardiff wearing your favourite chicken outfit or your ‘man-kini’, perhaps.
